Online baseball quizzes: Hi -- I posted the following to Ask Metafilter and one answer pointed me over here, saying they'd seen a link here that might help. Anyone remember it? The question was about online quiz material to help 7-8 year-olds learn rudimentary baseball defensive strategy. Looking to help them learn that when your're playing ____ position, and there's _____ outs, and runner(s) on ____, if the ball comes to you, you throw the ball to _____. Trying to help them have a plan before each pitch. Could be flash cards, online quizzes, or printable quizzes. Anybody remember seeing something like this around here?

Judge Hits Andy Reid Out of Bounds

Let's not confuse what's happening here with poor/absentee parenting. The kids are 21+ years old. The parenting train has left the station. At this point Reid's responsibility is all about the safety and the environment of his younger children who still live at home. Using Reid's high-profile job and atrocious hours as any kind of excuse or mitigating factor is BS. Plenty of people work long hours, multiple jobs, etc. At least he has a choice, but apparently his ambition is a higher priority for him. These two men need to understand that their rich daddy's not going to be there to catch them when they fall.

Nobody's better at losing than the Phillies.

Looking here, the Phils have some clubs nipping at their 5-digit heels. Braves: 9646 losses Cubs: 9394 Pirates: 9301 Reds: 9296 Cardinals: 9121 We're 33 games shy. The next closest is 354 games shy. "nipping"? See you in six years, winners.

Bloody mess: Schilling's sock called into question

The sock is in a glass case in Cooperstown. You could do DNA testing on it, for crying out loud. Easiest. Authentication. Ever.
