Dan Patrick had Troy on his radio show a few weeks back and it's striking how gentle his voice is. I also get the sense that he isn't a fan of football. He let it drop that he never watches football on the TV.

A quick glance of newspapers articles and blog posts from the Boston area only talks about him slapping the ball into NE's end zone, nothing about him kicking anybody. I saw the game as well and I don't recall anything like that happening.

I've always thought of you as middle-lower-brow.
And this is a conversation we've had in the long ago past: if you want better front page posts, make 'em. (Why don't I do it myself? I'm lazy.) As for your hot-button issue FPPs, I always assumed that you did them just to have *something* on the front page. Do you think the daily huddle threads are taking away from any possible FPPs? Maybe people are like me (lazy) and would rather throw a context-free, single-link post into the huddle rather than flesh out a larger topic and make it an FPP.

Thank goodness it's treatable. I hope they got to it early enough to wipe it out. Go Matt Go! It's crazy how this type of thing can come on. I remember last year seeing a good friend of mine at a Boris show at the Cat's Cradle in Chapel Hill and he was complaining of a nasty headache that just wouldn't go away. What seemed like a blink of any eye later, I was wheeling him to a radiation treatment.
And I know what Matt speaks of about the MRI. I had to go through one earlier this year in hope of finding the source of my sudden onset of a seemingly endless series of migraines. In hindsight, it was pretty funny when they asked me what kind of music I liked best. They had a XM radio on board and they switched it to my type of music. I think I got to hear 45 seconds of a song before the industrial jams of the MRI machine drowned everything else out.
