Sampson to become new Indiana coach

I'm sure that when he looks south to Texas, east to Stillwater and north to Kansas he must feel the pinch of these programs building toward explosion while he's losing a lot of key players and without much in the way of reinforcements coming in. The near future for OU basketball is looking bleak which I'm sure made it easier for him to make this decision. I hope he does well at IU.... he did a very good job at Oklahoma competing with the UT's KU's and OSU's of the world as well as greasy cheaters like Quin Snyder at missouri.

Vince Young Fumbles an Opportunity

First of all, I was surprised with Whitlock on this one, he's usually pretty insightful. But he's gotten off on some wild-assed tangent here. Most of what he talks about in this rant is utterly irrelevant. In terms of Young's preparation, time will tell, but I am sure of one thing....He is a competitor. If he fumbles trying to make a big play in a game he won't hang his head and give up (are you listening Reggie). Also, Whitlock says you can't make it in the NFL on instinct and athleticism???? That's 90% of what you "make it" on. I could prepare and watch film until I knew more than Peyton and the Schwab combined and I STILL couldn't be an NFL quarterback, becuase I lack the instinct and athleticism! A very ignorant, unfounded, self promoting, hey everybody look at me it's Jason article IMO...... Yes I do.....to wfrazerjr

Top 25 Baseball Innovations

Putting the word innovation and MLB in the same sentence is like putting D-Rays and World Series in the same sentence. It just doesn't make any sense. The most significant changes in baseball in the last 25 years are skyrocketing salaries, the steroid explosion and how the pace of a baseball game has slowed to a nearly unwatchable crawl...hardly innovative
