The NBA officially pulls the 2017 All-Star Game from Charlotte, NC

The NBA should stick to basketball and leave the politics to the politicians.

Gay minor league baseball player quit because of homophobic comments from teammates and coaches.

He would have to be released from the team that signed him before he could go to another team.

The NHL Playoffs May Be Canada-Free

If you look at the standings, all of the Canadian teams are at the bottom of both conferences.

I don't care about the Canadian teams I am just happy that all 3 California teams are doing very well.

Steelers Coach Should've Been Flagged for Being on Field

I started out hoping the Bengals would win but by the end of the game I was happy they lost. Their team has a bunch of gangsters with no discipline. Their fans are no better. It was disgusting that they cheered when Big Ben was hurt.

Thank god I don't have to live in that hell hole.

I am definitely not a Steelers fan but the Bengals gave a black eye to the NFL yesterday.

Colts Out of Luck as QB Suffers Lacerated Kidney

The Colts are going to destroy Andrew Luck who is potentially one of the best QBs in the league if he had some decent protection from their offensive line.

Report: Patrick Kane Target of Rape Investigation

I am always skeptical of these rape cases allegedly committed by star athletes. There is a lot of groupies that will accuse these guys looking for big bucks to settle the cases.

I am not a fan of Kane and maybe he did it but I will wait for concrete evidence.

There's something in the Olympic water in Rio...and it's not good.

Next year's Olympics will be pretty interesting with contaminated water to swim in and security issues. I hope there are no major problems.

NFL Moves PAT Kicks Back to 15-Yard Line

I don't think it will make much difference. The 15 yard line is still just a 32 yard chip shot which is pretty automatic for an NFL kicker.

Rangers Close to Trade with Angels for Josh Hamilton

Asan Angels fan, I ill be happy to see him go. He has done nothing for the Angels. He is an overpaid drug abusing liability.

McCutchen: Baseball No Longer a Sport Where Poor Kids Get Discovered

My son was drafted by the San Diego Padres so I have been through all this. As far as baseball goes, it is what happens in High School and College ball, not youth leagues.

McCutchen: Baseball No Longer a Sport Where Poor Kids Get Discovered

That is absurd. If the kid has the talent, he will be discovered.

Buckeyes Win College Football Playoff

Congratulations to Ohio State. They certainly proved that they belonged in the playoffs. I am not a fan of either team but like most people I thought that Oregon would win easily. I bet the Las Vegas bookies aren't very happy.

Holy Sidd Finch! Minnesota Twins Sign Unknown with 100-Mph Fastball

I remember a pitcher like that in the Florida State League ( Class A ) several years ago. He threw some serious heat but had control problems. He never made it because he couldn't throw strikes consistently. The players hated batting against him becuase he was dangerous.

No Shirt No Service: High School Coach Jobless After Boys Track Team Goes Topless

This is absurd. Not allowing the boys to take off their shirts because the girls can't is ridiculous. I hate to inform these lame brains but boys are different than girls.

Error Found in BCS Rankings

This whole BCS stuff is garbage. There is no reason why College football can't have playoffs like all the other sports. Instead of taking December off, they could be plying in the playoffs this weekend.

Steve Nash Announces Birth, Divorce

Steve Nash has absolutely NO class at all. He came to the US from Canada and has become very wealthy and successful. Does he show any gratitude for having the opportunity to achieve this in the US. The answer is NO. All he is done is trash the US and say how much better Canada is. If he believes that then he should get out of our great country.

Canadian NHL teams mean money

AS the article points out, most of the increase could be attributed to the rise in the Canadian dollar. In General the tickets prices in Canada are higher than in the US. This could be a result of when the Canadian dollar was weaker. It is absolutely absurd to say that there should only be teams in cold weather cities. There should be teams wherever it makes economic sense. The Anaheim Ducks and San Jose Sharks sell out every game. I know that first hand as it is very difficult to buy single game tickets to either arena. I do not understand the weakness of the Phoenix Coyotes. Phoenix is the 5th largest city in the US, It has a large number of Canadians and people from the NE US, it is pretty affluent with a strong diversified economy, and a great sports city with NFL, MLB, and NBA teams. I played hockey starting as a very young child. I grew up with just the original 6 NHL teams.
