I can't believe we let the 40th anniversary of Wilt Chamberlain's 100-point game pass without note. It's a feat without equal, never to be repeated again. Check that link out for game audio, stats, and the history behind it (legend has it that Wilt hitched a ride back to NYC from the players on the opposing team).
Score! Sportsfilter mentioned as Yahoo's What's New featured pick.
Is there any site that has good olympic history and statistics? I've looked all over this section of the DMOZ directory, and I can't find anything good. It seems like there would be plenty of statistics worth putting up somewhere. How many medals did Norway get at the 1964 summer games? How many medals have been given to Spain in all olympic history and what events were they for? Is there an IMDB of olympic sports I haven't found yet?
Major League Baseball (yes the very same organization monitoring all our thoughts) fesses up to the skeletons in their closet with a new section of their site dedicated to honoring those in the Negro Leagues. There are team histories, profiles of players, and even a story about women that played in the league. Is this progress?

Still working on some display issues. Don't worry, the custom font sizing and link underlining will be working soon for logged in members. Also still to come, the Locker Room (MetaTalk equivalent).
I was amazed when I took my first trip to London recently and I noticed the free newspapers provided by my hotel mentioned the scores of NHL games on the front page of the Sports section. I couldn't help but wonder if anyone in London really cared if the Ducks beat the Sharks, since I as an American couldn't care less. :)
