Another Sportsfilter Music Swap? Why yes, let's! Details can be found here, but it's pretty much the same as last year: You make a few copies of one mix CD that you create, send them out to four people, and get four new mix CDs in return. It's like a pyramid scheme, only more rectangular, or some such. Maybe it's a straight line? Whatever. I suck at math and geometry. You get the point. You send four CDs, you get four CDs. The deadlines we set for the swap are a bit optimistic, and the number of groups and people per group can always change a little, but we hope to keep the changes from last year to a minimum. Goddam already has some awesome ideas for this year's team names and logos, so this should be lots of fun. Again. Follow the instructions on the site linked to above if you're interested. Did you get your music? I got most of mine. It has come to my attention, however, that some people have yet to send their CDs out. Know this: the guy that I know who will punch you in your faces has been working on a new move - one where he punches you with both fists at the same time! So who owes you music? Call 'em out, because nothing humbles internet nerds more than other internet nerds talking smack about them in an unfrequented corner of a moderately popular sportsblog. Also so I know where to send Tommy Two-fists.

Here's something awesome. And it makes RCade's job easier. In the future, when someone messes up a thread by being a dickhole or whatever, all you have to do is post the following: TROLL. Do not respond or post to the lockerroom, please. All the Pantheon has to do is search for that comment once in a while and WHAM! George Michael is gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Also, the Pantheon can find contested comments much more easily. Deal? We can refine the wording, but I think we need a signifier that says, "Here's a troll, and please look at it."

a possible future Hall of Famer, just made the worst blunder of his career, and it wasn't even on the ice. According to TSN, Chelios said that NHL commissioner Gary Bettman (who is Jewish) should "get the gas" for his treatment of the players. Poor choice of words? Taken out of context? Just being a jackass? No matter what, Chelios just F-ed himself in the B.

College Hockey goalie Jordan Sigalet has been nominated for an ESPY as "Best Comeback Athlete" for 2004-05.

Why? He's been diagnosed with Multiple Schlerosis, and still went on to become Bowling Green's all-time leader in SV%, as well posting the second-best ever GAA. New England Hockey Journal has a nice little article on him here. I wish the best for the guy, and it would make a great story if he ever made it to the NHL. How many athletes have managed to make it to the pros while battling a degenerative disease like this?
