Adolf Hitler, Cowboys Fan: Translated from the original German, this YouTube video poignantly captures how every NFL fan feels when your 13-3 team goes one-and-done in the playoffs after your quarterback spends his off week in Cabo with Jessica Simpson. Funny everywhere but Dallas.

Is that the most remixable scene ever or what? There have been some really good ones. This one is up there.

Cute, and the link to the Dallas fan forum is the icing on the cake.

being a Mountaineer, Steeler fan living in Dallas, can't help but enjoy the pain the Cryboy fans are going through - saw the video last week - hilarous

I'm a Dallas fan, but I have to concede that as one of the funniest slams ever against the Pokes. I would expect Hitler to be easier on Jessica Simpson, given her Teutonic looks.

Thank you. That was......wonderful.

"At least I won in my Fantasy League." This was a thread on Fark.com in the Sports section a couple of days ago. I laughed so hard I wet myself! I loved how he went off about Eli being better than Peyton "And Kobe is better than Jordan!" And the T.O. jersey bit, I can relate, I bought a Levon Kirkland Pittsburgh Steelers jersey and the Steelers released him before the start of the next season. Needless to say, I never wore it.

Thanks Rcade, Great video. I was looking for just the right thing to e-mail my cowboy fan friends. And now I've got it. And so do they.

Being a Cowboys fan, I still found this to be one of the most funniest skits that I've ever seen. I guess you must have a sense of humor to enjoy this regardless if you're a Cowboys or not, this is classic stuff.

At the risk of embarrassing myself, what movie is that from?

posted by yerfatma at 01:56 PM on January 28

Put me in line with RCade and BornIcon. Even my allegiance to the Pokes cannot prevent me from enjoying this and sending it on to others.

yerfatma: It's from Der Untergang (Downfall, in English)

posted by Jugwine at 02:19 PM on January 28

This is even better than the skit Monty Python did in subtitles way back having Hitler tell the joke to thousands of troops, "I have a dog with no nose" one of his soldiers yells back "how does he smell" to which Hitler replies "terrible" Stupid joke, but very funny having Hitler tell it.

Is it wrong that I kept picturing Jerry Jones face instead of Hitler's? (In no way comparing Jones to Hitler, I just meant the tantrum paired with terrified underlings thing) And did the third guy from the left look eerily like Wade Phillips?

I have no doubt that this will be the only time you ever hear me say...I feel Hitler's pain.

An excellent trend seems to have evolved for using Downfall for this very purpose. The first one I saw was this one last year when Sheffield United got relegated. It's a great film, Yerfatma. You should see it if you get a chance, and particularly if your German is up to watching the brilliant performances without having to get distracted by the subtitles.

Yeah, JJ, I was watching it and I thought, "Wow, this is like 'Wizard of Oz' and 'Dark Side of the Moon'." It's just that kind of thing.

And some copyright fucking killjoys have had it pulled from YouTube. *sigh*

Another version here (for now).

Classic, I hate the cowboys anyway.

Fantastic video. It makes me wish I disliked the Cowboys more in order to better appreciate the video.

What won't people lay off this man. I have not lived inD allas, but I have visited the place. This man, Romo, deserves to have a sexually active life like other people. Heck, priests and bishops are sexually active these days, this is not Bear Bryant and waterboarding for one less push up. This is not Lombardi and effectively risking your life to play. This is 2008, not 1958 or 1968. I pulled for the Boys, but it is not the end of the world that they lost, it will be if the G Men win it all, even though that will make Shula commit suicide to end it for all, out of joy. I think we should let Romo sleep with Jessica Simpson, mind out own business, and sit in front of the TV on Sunday (if one is not attending or Church or some other activity on routine), and rrot for or against Romo and his gang.

What won't people lay off this man. You know, I read that opening sentence and thought you were referring to Hitler.

Many of us hated "America's team" for years before we knew who Romo was. My favorite NFC championship game was in 1982 when Dwight Clark made "the Catch" to beat the Cowboys. As far as Romo and Jessica, I don't think the Mexico trip had any effect on his game but he should have known that had they lost, he would hear about it. In this age of instantaneous celebrity gossip, wouldn't it have made sense to save the trip for after the season? Last I heard, you can have sex in Dallas also. Also, people are growing tired of that talentless bimbo. And I don't think they like Jessica much either. :)

Leave Tony Romo alone! All you people want is more more more!

One of the funniest Tubes I've every seen. But I thought Hitler was a Panzer (Panther) fan.
