PANTHEON! Do me a favor and fix the Jazz link.

Thanks for the constant updates lilnemo. I doubt I'd even be paying attention to the playoffs if it wasn't for your updates.

No Problem. Its been a blast.

So the Warriors make the Mavs look bad by beating the No. 1 seed in the first round in a historic upset, and then they make the Mavs look worse by exiting the playoffs five games later. Ugh. "We Believe" my ass.

posted by rcade at 04:47 PM on May 16, 2007

Well, the Jazz tried to let the Warriors beat them. They made almost every mistake possible through the end of the 3rd quarter into the beginning of the 4th, and yet the Warriors still coughed it up with dumb fouls and bad shots. Missing 6 free throws in a row as a team is almost inexcusable, as are 25+ team turnovers. But yet, what am I talking about, the Jazz still won the game. Golden State managed to lose the game with something like a 30-5 advantage on points off turnovers, and with the Jazz going 16 of 28 or so from the free throw line, a colossal 57%. Wow. Oh, and my prediction for the Suns-Spurs game tonight: now that several of us (including myself) have gone off on rants about the Suns suspensions, the Suns will win tonight's game by at least 15. Just a thought.

Bye, bye beardie. And Phoenix, for the love of God, please send Bowen, Ginobli, and Horry home. It pains me to see Tim Duncan have to play with those ass clowns...although I have to say Tim in his age seems to be getting more and more chippy.

posted by vito90 at 08:58 PM on May 16, 2007

Why why why can't the Pistons make things easier on themselves? Of course it would be nice to win in Chicago and stick it to the Bulls fans.

Bowen is the best on ball (no pun intended) defender in the league. Ginobli is a slasher and spot up shooter, Horry is Big Shot Bob. I could see why you might not like them, but to call them ass clowns is straight up disrespectful. I would take any of them on my favorite team in a second. A lot of you seem to understand that the playoffs are rough, until your favorite team gets beat up. I felt the same way. You might want to wait until the series is over before you start bitching about it. Who knows, your team could suprise you.

Who knows, your team could suprise you. My team suprises me with their poor personal moves, inept managment and ownership bent on sinking a once proud franchise.

Horry is Big Shot Bob Cheap Shot Bob this year. Horry has come up huge sometimes, but I think his rep for the big shot is also driven by the fact that nobody remembers when your off-the-bench player misses the big shot. So he gets remembered for the times he hits them but overlooked when he doesn't.

yay-yo chiding somebody else for being disrespectful? That's good stuff. And you constantly starting shit with me is getting on my nerves. Maybe you should go back and read your precious guidlelines that you like to quote. There's something about personal attacks in there.

Maybe, just maybe the Bulls can win tonight. Wow. Just think of the happiness and pleasure of beating the Pistons. I'm getting goose bumps.

Cheap Shot Bob this year Couldn't have said it any better myself. Right on point, rcade.

posted by BornIcon at 11:55 AM on May 17, 2007

So he gets remembered for the times he hits them but overlooked when he doesn't. You aint' right! Of course he has missed some shots, who hasn't? The fact is that he has made more crucial three's in the finals seconds of PLAYOFF games than anyone that is currently in the league. He did it as a Rocket, he did it as a Laker, and he has done it as a Spur. Also, when he was on the Rockets, he wasn't exactly an "off-the-bench player" as you so fondly refer to him. Another point is that no one remembers who came in 2nd (or the loser) they only remember the winners.

posted by yay-yo at 01:23 PM on May 17, 2007

Well, I felt good about that prediction until Ginobili and Bowen started hitting threes. Bah. Oh well. Oh, and Horry doesn't like to be called Bob, it's gotta be Big Shot Rob. Or in this case, Cheap Shot Rob...

Well, yay-yo, I would happily discuss this with you privately, and welcome your input via email. You don't appear to have one on your profile, so feel free to use mine.

QUIT STARTING SHIT WITH ME! 2. I don't do online dating. 3. I prefer women. Or in this case, Cheap Shot Rob If you actually watch the tape, all he did was get in Nash's way and stand his ground, (with a lowered shoulder). If Nash weighed more than 120lbs, he wouldn't even have fell down and it wouldn't have looked so bad. Also, a cheap shot is when you hit someone who isn't expecting it. He went head to head with Nash. I'm not saying it wasn't wrong, because it was. It just wasn't as bad as you all are making it out to be.

If Nash weighed more than 120lbs, Steve Nash, 6'3'' 195 lb., as per NBA.COM website, Wikipedia concurs.

Actually, that's when he was thinking about growing a beard but it started to weigh him down a bit.

posted by BornIcon at 09:10 PM on May 17, 2007

Wow. The refs were total shit in the Pistons game.

posted by Ying Yang Mafia at 09:50 PM on May 17, 2007

Maybe if Nash did grow his beard to resemble The Beard, then Horry would have gotten clocked. Then The Beard Jr. would drag Nash to the mangled mess of Horry and finish him off with a good fuzz-fuckin.

Yeah, maybe I would have thought it was funny when I was in the 4th grade. So that's where you lost your sense of humor...

Sure, because anyone who doesn't find gay jokes humorous has to be without a sense of humor. It can't be that one finds your particular brand of "humor" crass and juvenile. Right?

Whatever, yay-yo, your intent was clearly to imply that TBH was hitting on you and that you aren't gay, but prefer women. What kind of joke is that but a gay joke?

I do prefer women and I am not gay, is that a problem? Do I have to hide my sexuality so that I don't offend you? You're worse than Stu Jackson. Making shit up as you go along.

posted by lilnemo at 01:19 PM on May 18, 2007

Well the Pistons finally closed it out. The Bulls proved a bit fiestier than I thought they would be. Although I do believe that losing a couple should help the Pistons realize that the playoffs aren't a cakewalk.
