First Round Predictions.: Henry Abbott of TrueHoop predicts the first round. He also manages to poll the stat geeks to see how their methods stack up.

I like that Henry included his mother amongst the panel of experts.

As much as I would like to see a real flanker in Chiefs red-and-gold, I think that King Carl will wind up taking a center or guard first; it will be the first step in rebuilding. If I had my way, I'd give Miami, or some other team, Trent Green and a draft pick for an impact corner, but hey, I don't think that'll happen.

Psst, it's always good to read the story before posting.

Oh, I see, cuz the title just says "First Round Predictions" and so it could be, like, the first round of the NFL draft, and so people might be confused if they don't actually read the post, especially since football is really the only sport worth even talking about and so of course all sport-related commentary must revolve around it. And then we all have a good chuckle. Ha ha! [sigh] Now I'm just sad. It's not that hard, people. Really, it's not. So anyway.... Most of the picks were no-brainers. I think I disagree on the Heat/Bulls series. Defending champs or not, the Heat look much weaker than they did last year, and Chicago looks quite a bit better (and yes, I'm posting this after the first game was played, but I thought the same weeks ago; all 3 Central teams look like they will make it out of the 1st round).

Hey dozerhand what's really sad is that they have had a running game, but with retiring players they will need some help fast. They have some great running backs, but now much less of a line to block for them. And if your grooming another quarterback you need the running game. You can't sell the pass well in Kansas City if you don't run. Otherwise the next quarterback will be on his back a lot! The Cheifs have been in need of retooling for a while now, age has come up and bit them on the butt.

Now if we are talking NBA, well then it's either the Cav's, Bulls, or Piston's. Against the Dallas Mav's. Please what's left to discuss.

robi, how about the suns or spurs? THey might merit a little consideration.

Now if we are talking NBA, Actually, if you'd read the posted article, you'd know that's what we're talking about. Now, put the keyboard down and slowly step away from the superflouous apostrophes.
