Chicago Bears Tank Johnson is at it again: After having his home searched a couple of days ago and illegal weapons and drugs found, now his body guard was shot and killed. Baffling!

Here's a updated article with more current details. Tank was at the club with Mr. Posey less then 24 hrs. after Jerry Angelo warned Tank publicly about ending these types of incidents and less then 48 hours after his home was raided by a SWAT Team. Chicago radio sportstalk is buzzing about the moronic behavior of Tank Johnson. The guys on probation for previous weapons charges and he has unlicensed pistols and assault rifles in his home with 2 young children and a convicted violent felon living in his basement who stashes 2 1/2 ounces of Pot in his refrigerator. A contrite Tank apologizes to the Team Friday expressing his regret then goes out clubbing with Posey after a judge warns Posey not to drink or do drugs. I hope to never see him again in a Bears Uniform. What an idiot! What a disgraceful smear on an otherwise successful Bears season to date. Here's a page that contains photos link of the Thursday's SWAT Raid as well as a video of the Police News Conference.

You gotta love it when these jackasses have a shot at a career which could allow them to be set, financially, for the rest of their lives, yet they can't resit the lure of playing "Scarface." Weapons, drug dealers, murder. Hopefully Tanks' kids can get out of there and they can get some financial security from the asshole before he's out of football for good (which should be soon) or sitting in a jail cell. Too bad, but prisons (and coffins) are chock-full of scum like like Johnson who want to be big heros.

I would think that if you are a defensive tackle in the National Football League and yet you need a bodyguard, there is some serious issue.

All of this after the Ricky Manning Jr. incedent. The Bears are starting to sound like the Miami Hurricanes. I definetly do not want my Bears to become a bunch of thugs, no matter how well they can play football.

There is just to many thugs and drug users in sports. This comes in part because bad behavior is tolerated for too long if a player has talent. However, the pro leagues have no real motivation to "clean" things up beyond a perception of having a bad image.
