Anyone want a free ticket for the fourth Ashes test at the MCG?: Ashley Wakefield put an advert on a London-based Aussie website seeking a 'good-looking female under 35' who would fetch lager and hot dogs during day three of the fourth Test in Melbourne.

I wonder could he be sued for having a discriminatory employment policy...

How gloriously, and indeed thankfully, un-PC. Gotta love the Aussies!

It's truly a shame that cricket never made it in America. But people here can barely stand the "boredom" of baseball as it is. A multiple day test would be inconceivable. Hmmm, although golf tournaments are multiple days long...

Obviously a graduate of the Shane Warne Charm School. While I know a lot of female cricket fans, none of them would be willing to give up watching the actual game to fetch and carry for this lot of yobboes. Also, there should be plenty of tickets still available for the Melbourne Test at face value, on ebay or outside the ground. The MCG holds 100,000 and it has never been full for a Test. lager and hot dogs??? A small point. Although there was some mention in the article of the odd hot dog, that'll mainly be beer and pies, thanks. No-one down here refers to it as 'lager', as almost all the popular brands are lagers anyway.

That dude's 33? Maybe not so much with the dogs and suds, guy. Perhaps the wealth wasn't enough to get a young ladies company. But whatever works, you old charmer, Ashley.
