'The Catch' May Rise Again: A possible re-enactment of The Catch in observance of the 25th anniversary of the most famous play in 49ers history is in the works as part of alumni day activities at halftime of the Minnesota game Nov. 5 at Candlestick.

If they re-enact The Catch, I'm going to re-enact The Retch. I hate that friggin' play. Jump, Everson! Jump!

I'm a hard core 49ers fan, and I even think the catch is overrated, to an extent. I mean, I know Dwight Clark had to jump incredibly high, grabbed it by his fingertips in the back of the endzone with almost no time left on the clock to win the NFC Championship from the Cowboys, but if any player did that same thing in a regular game, it would just be a really fricken awesome catch. It was just the circumstances that made it so huge. Wait a sec.... after describing it, "The Catch" was AMAZING!

Great play, but please, spare me any re-enactment. That seems to me like a bunch of 10-year olds playing out in the yard pretending to be NFL players. I think those guys being there and watching it on the scoreboard would be plenty. Besides, it's not like you have to search too hard any given moment to see that replay somewhere. I agree Clark would probably drop the pass this time.

This is what you do when your team is 2-4.

More people are going to show up for the re-enactment than for the game.
