Please tell me the Cowboys pick is due to homerism, ttrendel. I think they'll be 2 or 3 wins better this year, but not enough for a playoff spot. My picks for the NFC divisions are the Eagles, Packers, Bucs and Rams with the 49ers and Seahawks as wild card teams. The Rams will beat the Eagles in the NFC championship. My AFC division picks are the Dolphins, Steelers, Colts and Raiders with the Patriots and Jets as wild cards. The Steelers will beat the Colts in the AFC championship. Super Bowl: Rams over the Steelers.

I'm looking forward to the NFC East this year - I grew up liking the Cowboys, I live in Virginia where the Potomac Watershed Indigenous Persons are worshipped, and I've sort of adopted the Iggles since my girfriend is now in Philly. That said, I'll take the Rams over the Steelers.

Wait a minute, mbd1, wait a minute....grew up liking the Cowboys and adopted the Iggles in the same sentence?!?! That's just not possible in Philly, we just plain hate them too much. You must cleanse and rid yourself of the rest of the NFC East, and make the Iggles your own. :) elsoltano, I'm not a Steeler loyalist, sorry to make you sick. Just have a feeling Kordell will have his stuff together this year enough to take them to the top.

I assure you that I didn't pick the Cowboys out of homersism. You know when you fill out an NCAA bracket and feel like you have to have your fair share of Cinderellas and early busts? Same here. The probability is low, but I think the Cowboys have a decent chance of making it. The NFC East is pretty open. Same goes for the Rams. I still gave them a wildcard spot, but I don't think I could pick them as the champ. I don't know if I get that from gut feeling or the deep desire to watch them fall apart.

In other words- the cowboys are my cinderella pick and the rams are my bust pick.

rosey8810, no worries. Now that the season has begun (err, well, in a couple more minutes) I'm going to have to seriously sedate myself on these boards from just shouting CLEVELAND CLEVELAND CLEVELAND every five seconds. I see a lot of people picking the Colts as having a big comeback this year and I tend to agree. I'm also expecting big things from Miami.

Yeah yeah yeah, I know, I know. I didn't say that I still like the Cowboys. They were just the default team in Arkansas in the early 90's when I became aware of the NFL. I have no deep connection with that team, and I'll be rooting for Philly every game this season. Do you live in the city?
