Unless Clinton Portis can sneak onto the field disguised as four extra defensive backs, the Redskins are going to get smoked. Nice. Cleveland scoring 19 against the Broncos? Denver has only allowed one TD in five weeks.

In Lions’ news, apparently neither Roy Williams or Matt Millen did or said anything stupid this week. Damn. Maybe, but Shaun Rogers has been suspended four games for taking banned substances. Edit: In a link about Shaun Rogers, why is the only picture of Dick Jauron?

Cleveland scoring 19 against the Broncos? Denver has only allowed one TD in five weeks. I sense the Browns getting a late TD after the game's out of reach. Also, I was humming Paul Hardcastle's Vietnam dance classic while I wrote that prediction.

N-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-nineteen, nineteen nineteen...n-n-n-n-nineteen... I remember seeing the weirdest thing many, many years ago, some kind of variety show, maybe "Star Search" or something like that, some guy doing some kind of lip-syncing, pantomime act to this song, wearing an old flight suit, combat boots, and this kind of death mask paint, whiteface with black streaks, it was really trippy, and of course I can't find a clip of it anywhere, so dammit, you'll just have to believe me. Thanks, fraze, I'm digging through my vinyl for that one...hello, 12-inch mix!

Actually, I'm not so hot on the Jeanna Fine reference. I've seen the movies...no choking with that girl. I've also seen the Paris Hilton videos, I think she's a better fit. As to the Vikings having a bye week without a boat trip incident, I hope that's a sign of things to come, hope they don't blow it. Sorry Jeanna.

There is no truth to the rumour that QB Ben Roethlisberger's stellar performance last week came after the Steelers forced him to have his appendix put back in. That's priceless! Carolina as the "Lock" of the week, on the road against the Bengals? Wow, that's gutsy. I think the Bengals will show up and actually play eventually.
