Baseball Race.: What it says. Finally makes sense of all those horse racing metaphors you hear, although admittedly I can't see a "far pole" for the teams to "come around" on this thing.

Great post, DrJohn. My sequence of choices, all really fun to watch: 2006 NL Wildcard 1978 AL (I am a gluttonous jerk, yes) 1914 NL 1984 AL (it's cool to watch DET just take off and never look back) 1951 NL 1938 NL (while I was deliberate with my other choices, this one was just random... and wicked cool because the lead changes hands so many times between so many horses) Sadistic? 2005 AL -- watch KCR. 1988 AL -- watch BAL.

It is fun, even for a non baseball fan. Just don't let goddam see you. Baltimore never really got going in 88, eh BPP.

This is fun, but I keep wishing there was a place I could squirt water so the Rangers would catch up. I love the Elimination line sweeping in and wiping out teams.

'75 Big Red Machine, '83 Chisox for one horse races, 1995 California Angels for biggest choke since Mama Cass.

DrJohn, this is super. Where did you find it? Mr. Falvey did an excellent job. I took a quick ride on the AL 1949 race (that makes me at least as gluttonous as BullpenPro), and I loved how it all came down to that last game. I've put a bookmark on the site. Thanks, DrJohn.

Whoops! Sorry, goddam. I had no idea. I got the link off a friend's blog and thought it was too neat to pass up.

No need to apologize; deserved a FPP. I certainly didn't see it the first time.

Definitely no need to apologise - goddam's link was well hidden away. This would be interesting with football too - I'd like to see some of the old English First Dvision finishes done this way.

Pretty cool- now all they need is a site that predicts the future accurately.....

Very cool. You can see this year where Barbaro, I mean Derrek Lee breaks his appendage just out of the gate and the Cubs season falls apart. Hmmm...maybe that's in bad taste.
