Hidden: Astros bullpen,Lidge suxx...: After taking a 9-1 lead into the eighth inning , the Astros take out Roy Oswalt in the ninth. The Astros promptly turned a lead into a tie game! Lidge gives up a grand slam (shades of 2005?) to tie the game 9-9. This bullpen is the worst in ALL of Major League baseball. How do I know? I live in Houston, and have watched this crap all year!!! Houston does NOT need Clemens, they NEED a bullpen. Take Clemens 22 million and give it to someone who can get somebody out!!!

Lidge obviously hasn't been the same since last year's NLCS--even before the Pujols homer in game 5 his seeming aura of invincibility got punctured by St. Louis scoring off him in game 3 and threatening to score in game 4. Then the White Sox got to him in the WS and now tonight..if Lidge doesn't regain his pre-2005 NLCS form (or if the 'Stros can't find an adequate replacement) then I doubt they return to the WS. Iguchi with 7 RBI. The White Sox are so good it's almost frightening. I picked them to beat the Cards in 6 in this year's WS--but I didn't think they'd be THIS good.

Here's a tip, fellas. When the link doesn't lead to an actual story, don't bother commenting on the thread at all. It's going to be deleted. Also, nflhou02 - read the guidelines. Linking back to Sportsfilter is NOT a good link.

posted by curtangle at 05:04 PM on June 26, 2006

Technically, it's still around, but it was removed from the front page. The story was killed. Just like this one and countless others. Once it's removed from the front page, it's considered dead.

LOL...gotta love it!!! No, we don't. At all. We generally find the linkless front page post useless and from what has recently been observed, there appears to be a short leash with people who do this sort of thing or don't seem to want to heed the rules and warnings. A lot of user accounts have been revoked and deleted lately.

Double LOL...Jerseygirl, YOU are the one I'm laughing at. As God's personal assistant , if you think you can get my account deleted and revoked , more power to you! I CAN live without it!!! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL....
