Bills agree to trade Moulds to Texans: The Bills and Houston Texans have worked out their trade and informed Eric Moulds that he is going to the Texans.

I've always respected Moulds, for the most part, even though he has a propensity for running his mouth about many issues revolving the Bills. He is, however, on the downside of his career, which is why, I think, he wanted to go to Houston instead of Philadelphia. He knows the expectations in Philly would have been too high. They just lost T.O., and there's no way Moulds can even come close to filling his shoes on the field. He knows he needs to be a number 2 or 3 receiver, which takes the pressure off him but still allows him to contribute some (and make money), all while playing for a team without tremendous expectations.

he should have gone to Philly. He would have been a more interical part of the offence and had a better chance to win a super bowl as he is a ten year vet, T.O is not conciered or ever was a part of the eagles so all he would have to do is to try to bring up Reggie Brown with would have been good for the Eagles

I think it's a good move for the Texans, and for Moulds. They haven't found anybody yet in Houston that can stand up with Andre Johnson and break up the coverage a little bit; despite having some mileage on him, Moulds can still be that guy, and then some. Will probably help Johnson and Carr both.

Plus Philadelphia fans are really friendly. (I'm just teasing-please direct all hate towards a Barry Bonds thread)

no i think the texans will win max 7 min. 5 this brings an offence that is good passing with moulds and the new tight end. also the running game will be pretty good with reggie bush. (u know the texans are going to draft him) the defence will be solid but they still must play indy 2 games . they get lucky with jacksonville a lot and win there but they could get swept by them plus they will face the titans 2 times who are going to do surprisingly good. in my oponion.

Houston Texans for 2006: Offense should be improved PENDING an improved offensive line. Reggie Bush may be an electrifying back, but don't 'overuse' him this year guys...remember Houston did lock Domanick Davis up to a 4 year contract last season, and Davis is a pretty solid multidimensional back when healthy... What I want to see the Texans do is use Bush kind of like Marshall Faulk was used in St. Louis...ya know, line him up in the slot...now imagine Bush, Andre Johnson and Moulds together...throw in Putzier, Davis and/or Mathis and you have the makings of a pretty solid looking group of skill players... Now if only we get some lineman to block for David Carr...

I always think about these things from the perspective of a tourist. Houston is not very high on my list of cities to live in - but if Moulds is from around there, then I'm all for it. As far as improving the team goes, well I can't see him at this stage of his career being much of a difference maker as a number two receiver on a bad team. Throw in Reggie Bush though, and the picture starts looking brighter. However, the glaring weakness still remains - these guys need linemen, stat.
