Niall, I can't argue for the accuracy of either but the Forbes list figures seem well on the low side to me and at only $7M(!) I have to wonder how either Landon Donovan or Freddie Adu, the two best paid American players AFAIK, didn't get on it.

First of all, fuck you for your tone, niall. I asked you what you were on about because in your (vague) criticism of this post you suggested a search of the world's best paid athletes, which implies that you didn't comprehend the post, which is about the world's best paid footballers. I even bothered to look at Forbes for a list of the best paid athletes, as you suggested, and didn't really find much enlightening. Not a lot of soccer players there. So you can take your snide little rant and knee-jerk it right up your pompous ass.
