I would give him $1. Loyalty has to be SHREDDED after the last 5 seasons the Kittens have had.

That is quite clever.

He's up to a hundred bucks!

I can't believe that the bidding is acually up to $100. I don't care how bad it gets (I am a New England and Boston Fan, it has been horrible in the past) I would never sell my loyalty to the highest bidder. I don't care how much money someone gives me.

i hate ebay...and sell-outs

I would need evidence of other teams that have had success with him as a fan. He could be a jinx.

posted by bperk at 11:52 AM on December 07

if thats the case, and he is a jinx, i will pay him upwards of 400 to put all his loyalty behind the bengals for the remainder of the season

If it's for sale, then it's not loyalty. They're just a whore. Attention and fiscal. I am a Lions fan, don't ask me why. The ownership & management for my upper middle age life has always sucked. They do not even play in a open air stadium, (if it can be done in Green Bay & Chicago, Denver for that matter!). Still . . . Hail the colors blue & silver let them wave. Sing their song & cheer the gridiron heroes brave. Fighting for fame, winning the game. Dashing to victory as they go. Forward down the field. A charging team that will not yield And when the blue & silver wave. Stand & cheer the brave. Rah rah rah! Go hard win the game. With honor you will keep your fame. Down the field & gain. A Lion victory! Go Lions! (they can't SUCK forever? I mean, ole Billy Ford has to croak sometime, right?)

Was that absolutely necessary?

Hey Strike, Rankin Smith owned and was president of the Falcons. He finally sold them to Arthur Blank and it has been a changed franchise ever since (with the exception of Arthur giving away tickets in Atlanta's ghettoes and outlying trailer parks. Have you seen some of the people at the Falcons games? Man, Arthur must be using that as a tax write off or something.) Wrigs

can you really buy and sell loyalty??? Wow! I have been doing it all wrong! ;-)

Q: I'm a Bills fan. They suck. I feel your pain. Wanna make out? Too funny.

Strike, your loyalty is admirable. I am a Seahawks, and Blazers fan, so I know all about sticking by your team through the hard times, but pulling out a fight song? Nobody actually knows pro team's fight song's, do they?

Strike, your loyalty is admirable. Worthy of TeamLoyaltyFilter.com. You should go start up that site, right now.

Nobody actually knows pro team's fight song's, do they? - Hell, all of FedEx Field sings Hail to the Redskins at the home games. They're also, IIRC, the only pro-team with their own marching band -- pretty swank in my opinion. Not sure if the Bears fight-song is still done at Soldier as it's been way too long since I've been back there. timdawg - compliments of wierd al - the play button is pretty hard to see but well worth it.

The Baltimore Ravens have a marching band, which was once the Baltimore Colts marching band, and stayed in existence through all the years the city had no team at all.

See Dr. John? This is the kind of true fan loyalty I am talking about! Hanging in there year after miserable year! Until that big payoff. Ever hear of the "Dead Wings"? Not in a loooong while! Pistons are cranking after years of bad uniforms and even worse seasons, (I'm talking 70's here). And the Tigers . . . . . . how about that Willie Horton! (my fav of many worthy Tigers). Waiting to Restore The Roar. Hey Mr. South.

I know it by heart, but I'm not going to post it word for word, 'cause I'm good like that.

Loyalty for sale makes him more of an NFL mercenary than a fan.

posted by fenriq at 05:40 PM on December 07

if thats the case, and he is a jinx, i will pay him upwards of 400 to put all his loyalty behind the bengals for the remainder of the season I thought Pittsburgh was the "Steel City"?

That must be Joey Harrington, he will def have the time to do all that stuff next year. Enough about the guy selling his loyalty, Who the %$ck has this up to $112? Thats the real Question
