Kariya gets into a fight that doesn't involve dropped gloves or a jersey over the head.: I know you all hate the ESPN but I thought this was pretty cool. Noriko Kariya, Paul's "little" sister is a field hockey player turned prize fighter.
Paul Kariya, one of the NHL's most gentlemanly players, could use his sister as an enforcer. Cute. On preview: dammit! Still. Nice read.

That is a very cool story. And I agree with the piece about the state of women's boxing. If they want more people to take it seriously, then there needs to be more pros who do. A dozen or so fighters across all the weight classes taking the sport seriously (as opposed to using it as a stepping stone to break into acting or the fitness business or whatever) is not enough to keep it valid. "Lady Bang." Heh. Right on.
