Did I say next year? I meant this year: New England Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi will attempt to return to play in week 8, following the Patriots' bye week.

Hope you know what you're doing, Cold Beer...I'll be as happy as anyone to see you back, but man, I hope you know what you're doing.

Something tells me this isn't a good idea. I hope I'm wrong. I hope the doctors and Coach Belichick keep him on the shortest leash possible.

After the San Diego game I felt dirty and filthy for demanding Bruschi's return (with Harrison out, both defensive signal callers were lost), given I was wishing for a man to risk his life so I could see a 4th title win.

If all of those docs are going to clear him medically, then why hold him back from what he loves to do. Good luck Tedy, you know that defence will automatically be 5 times better, at the least, with him on that field.

Teddy, you had a good run, but you've already paid a high price. Cash-in and walk away. If you push it, the house always wins.

The Patriots have won the last few SBs and one before that out of 39 total, the Yankees have won about 29 World Series out of 100. The two are simply not comparable (though props to the Pats for the recent run), the Patriot players are never in the headlines for the wrong reasons not to mention Belicheck is barely visible in the national media, and further I have yet to see New England open up the checkbook to buy the best free agents available every year.

bill, bill, bill, what you're conveniently forgetting is that no one's sports memory is supposed to exceed 2 years anymore. The amazing thing is the Yankees are still considered a winning franchise when they haven't won a Series in 5 years.
