Hidden: How does Kansas City rank with the worst teams ever?: I believe that Kansas City will become one of the worst team ever to play baseball. They are a triple A team at their very best. They would be better suited for double A. They have no payroll so I doubt they will ever improve. Their owners are penny-pinching money hogs. I feel bad for the fans of Kansas City. The Royals will lose 110 games. Have mercy. What is the worst team in all of baseball?

They did okay against a certain team the last couple nights.

KC is one of the worst organizations in all of sports in the last 5 years. Where they rank in the pantheon of worst teams ever will be up to KC fans to decide - since they are the only ones who care. Can we call a moritorium on the polling question FPPs please? redsoxthrowdown, I admire your enthusiam, but these questions just inspire mindless gloating or empty insults.

Exactly Weedy, in everything you said. KC is just another of money strapped small market teams we have seen in the last few years. They have alot of raw talant, especially in the pitching Dept. Every Bad team has players that need some polish. All jokes aside, there are 4 or 5 teams that are in trouble, you cant just point out one bade one. Let ESPN make mindless jokes about "bad" temas They seem to think its funny I dont.

Until they get rid of the current management/ownership, they'll never get better. I'm not sure they can get worse but they just might.

How did we get by without you?

Is this Royals team any worse than the Tigers teams of the last few seasons? Discounting this one, I mean.

Good Lord, man, where did you go to school? Doesn't anybody teach creative writing anymore? Sentence structure! Grammar! Capitalization and punctuation where it belongs! As an old print reporter, it makes me sad that we've got an entire generation of people in this country who see nothing wrong with appearing barely literate in public. Have you no shame? Damn, I need a drink.

Folks in big markets with colossal payrolls talking trash about low-cash small-market teams are either trolls or pricks. Which is it? Ownership problems? Right, the KC owners don't spend as much as Boston or NY, so there's something wrong with them? I'd say there's a problem with the teams who spend gazillions in an attempt to erase competition from the league for good. The bad teams aren't the problem. It's the buy-a-champ "good" ones.

You all need to understand waht you are talking about. They swept the Yankees in the early season and for God's sake they just beat the A's and the Red Sox 2 out of 3 games. Yeah they got a lot of young players but give them a break. All they need is to grow a little and invest in some veterans. Trust me, I know their not that good because I rub it in my brothers face everyday. He lives in Kansas City and is the strength trainer for their team and the whole minor league organization. He realizes that they need to mature a little and I believe one day these guys will be good. In other words, STOP HATIN'

The Royals are just like the Pirates. They get a couple good players and as soon as they want more money, they're gone. It is a cycle that will never end until management/ownership change it.

Right, the KC owners don't spend as much as Boston or NY, so there's something wrong with them? No, there is something wrong with KC ownership because since Kaufmann died they've been Baltimore West, but without the money. A rudderless ship that keeps changing course ("We're rebuilding!" . . . "With veteran talent!" . . . "We're 250 games back!"). And the only thing worse than a clueless GM is a clueless GM who can't afford to buy himself out of mistakes.

the KC royals have the fourth lowest value in the major leagues..two teams below them is the Oakland A's and Minnesota Twins both playoff contenders. At Forbes.com it is shown that the royals are actually making money every year....while most playoff contenders and in debt. it just goes to show to make money you need to spend...and also for most teams spending money=winnings... the royals don't fit the mold of the A's and twins...so they need to get better management or richer owners
