Remember Kyle Denney, the Cleveland pitcher who was saved from a career-ending bullet wound to the leg when a cheerleading go-go boot saved him? Last night while pitching for the AAA Buffalo Bisons, he was struck just above his right ear by a line-drive, suffering "a ruptured ear drum and a cerebral contusion, which is more severe than a concussion. The contusion was caused by the brain jarring against the skull" (emphasis mine). I can't figure out if he's super lucky or extremely cursed.

Well, if his nickname isn't "Lucky" or "Shellshock" or "Private Ryan" or "Kenny" or something by now, then someone in that clubhouse has totally dropped the ball.

I saw that on the news last night.............OUCH!!!

Kyle has a brain bruise.

Barry Bonds Sucks. Just make me feel better everyday that gets posted.

That dude should play the lottery...or ....just stay at home.

His nickname should be Dent, or Magnet.

What is it about Cleveland pitchers? Herb Score had his career cut short by a Gil McDougald line drive, and then Steve Olin and Tim Crews were killed in a boating accident in 1993. Just weird.

yea it sucks he's one of our bigger pitching prospects
