Hidden: 40 Three Point Attempts?: The same three-point college basketball arc that keeps many of the smaller schools in some of these tournament games is ruining the game as a whole. Please, NCAA, move the line back 5 feet and make some of these teams THINK twice about throwing up these shots, which are currently far too easy (or too tempting) for Division I players. Watching Illinois continue to step back beyond the three-point line last night when they could have worked in for two-pointers may have cost them a national title.

Well, If Illinois hadn't turned the ball over late when the game was tied, they might've sunk a three-pointer and how different might the game have been? Having said that, agreed, the three-point line is not helping basketball, and if they're going to keep it, the college stripe has to be pushed back at least 3 feet.

I like the three point line where it is and I like college basketball the way it is. The line itself isn't ruining the game. The only games that are ruined are by the coaches and players who choose to live or die by that line.

Maybe they should paint another stripe and award 4 points for the shot.

Dyams, you might want to read the guidelines again. Your post needs to link to an actual article or website, not back to sportsfilter. If you just want to do an opinion piece, you can submit a column.
