Mookie Wilson: Truck-drivin' man.: The Mets cult hero, and current first base coach, drives an eighteen-wheeler in the off-season (though possibly not in Massachussets), using the handle "Professor". Any other pro athletes with unlikely hobbies?

Mookie isn't even the only one who drives trucks; Karl Malone does too.

Not so much a hobby as a new career; Icky Woods (creator of the Icky Shuffle) has a floor installation place in Cincinnati, does damn fine work too.

William "The Fridge" Perry is a bricklayer, if I recall correctly. And Ryan Klesko enjoys tagging along as SWAT teams serve arrest warrants. (sorry couldn't find good links).

Jayson Williams has lots of big trucks.

According to an SI article a few years ago, Icky also spent a few years driving a Schwann's Frozen Foods truck for awhile after being cut from the Bengals.

Apparently Klesko's retired from the amateur law-enforcement business.

Hermann Meier was a bricklayer. Then he decided to become a world cup skier....
