From sportswriter Victor Hugo's Auburn-Georgia post-game column:

"I dreamed a dream in time gone by, when hope was high and life worth living. I dreamed that love would never die. I dreamed that God would be forgiving ... But the tigers come at night, with their voices soft as thunder, as they tear your hope apart, as they turn your dream to shame."

During the 1990-91 season, there were two momentous, hard fought NFL collisions that captured the nation's attention. In December 1990, the 10-1 NY Giants went to Candlestick Park to play the 10-1 49ers. The Niners won the game 7-3. Seven weeks later in January 1991, the two teams met again for the NFC Championship. The Giants won 15-13 and went on to win the Super Bowl.

Then there's today's game.

The Niners won a game?

Jed York will be busy this week increasing ticket prices AND purging the roster and coaching staff of individuals earning close to or above league average salary.
