I feel for Brandon Morrow.

He had pitched in 11 of the 12 playoff games for the Dodgers, all 4 of the previous World Series games, and last night was his third night in a row.

Dave Roberts even said before the game that Morrow wasn't available, and yet he still had to put him out there to get absolutely destroyed.

Morrow threw 6 pitches:

  • Home run to Springer
  • Single to Bregman
  • Strike to Altuve
  • Double to Altuve
  • Wild pitch/ball to Correa
  • Home run to Correa

That could be the worst multiple batter pitching performance in World Series history.

Roberts should be absolutely blasted for using him in this game.

I think there ought to be a day off between Games 4 and 5 if they're going to use the 2-3-2 format.

This is the second warmest fall on record from what I've seen. If this trend keeps up, who cares about going an extra day into November?

MLB's playoffs have become so edgy and compressed as they've been extended. The 1 game wild card play in, games on 3 consecutive days in a row during the LCS and WS - ridiculous. The only stage with any pacing and breathing room is the LDS, with a 2-2-1 format.

Yes, Roberts' usage of Morrow was bordering on criminal. Especially in light of the fact that Roberts failed to rectify his mistake when he did not lift Morrow either immediately after the Springer homer (which was just crushed) or the Bregman single.

Holy hell what an entertaining game though.

The Vegas Golden Knights are now down to their FOURTH string goaltender, as the first three have gotten injured in their first 10 games of the season.

I can't imagine the impact this is having on their ECHL affiliate as everyone keeps shifting up the depth chart. I assume it's just open tryouts at this point...

I do know the Toronto Maple Leafs have lent the Chicago Wolves (VGK AHL affiliate) goalie Kasimir Kaskisuo.
He's starting some games for them right now, but the Golden Knights can't call him up.
