That Tennessee-Georgia game. Just called in a refill on the beta blockers.

There are no insects flying inside Sanford Stadium at the moment. They all ended up going into the open mouths of fans of both teams in the last 2 minutes of the game.

The ending is like some crazy fake story your friend tells you about some mythical football game that happened at his high school before you met him.

"And then we score a touch down to take the lead in the last two minutes on a sack in the endzone! And then they score a touchdown in the last minute on hail mary to take the lead back. And then WE score ANOTHER touchdown on a ... ANOTHER hail mary! Yeah, it was another hail mary! I swear it happened, bro!"

In case anyone missed it, the play of the year in baseball happened today.

And it was by a pitcher.

Seriously.

Also, the invasive species known as "Blue Jays Fans" was felt in Boston tonight.

The species had previously known to ruin cities like Seattle, Minnesota, and Detroit by invading the metropolises in hordes of thousands, consuming all their available beer, and cheering loudly for the visiting team.

Quoting someone who says they were at the game:

was at the game tonight, there were at least 12,000 jays fans there, not even exaggerating. I've been going to sox games for 30 years almost and never even seen that many Yankees fans at a game vs. NY at Fenway.

I'm a UGA grad / fan watching the game on a bit of a delay - I always record so I can skip most the commercials. While UGA-UT is still a rivalry, it hadn't felt like too much of one lately with what was UT's slide over the last decade. I was at UGA in the early 2000's when UT was still good so it still feels intense to me.

Anyways, I think it's about 19 seconds lift with UGA still down, and my buddy texts me and I'm like, "The only reason he'd text me is because something batshitcrazy happened at the end of the game." It wasn't crazy (yet) so the only logical conclusion is UGA got a Hail Mary. And the next pass, BAM, Eason throws a rocket - not a Hail Mary mind you, but a thing of beauty our WRs would have dropped last week. I jump throwing my cat across the room to do the victory dance screaming. I read my buddy's text and it reads, "So Close too... ROCKY TOP! :)" What the hell? There's 10 seconds left! Then a penalty. Return to set up doable field position. Surly this can't be the same old Dawgs - a callback to a few years ago when GT comes back to win with almost no time. And then the Vols get their own Hail Mary. The joy, ecstasy, and pain and anguish of college football.
