Kobe Bryant Scores 60 in Final NBA Game: Los Angeles Lakers coach Byron Scott said he has one simple plan for Kobe Bryant's final NBA game Wednesday night. "Like I told him: 'This is the last hurrah. Let's have some fun. Let's go out with a bang,'" Scott said after shootaround at the team's training facility hours before the Lakers face the Utah Jazz in the last game of Bryant's 20-season NBA career.

God damn.

He shot over 40%, his team won, and he was lights out in that fourth quarter.

It might have been an embarrassing final season for Kobe, but it was a hell of a final game.

Rachel Nichols "" @Rachel__Nichols

Just spoke to Shaq - he said "I challenged him to get 50 and the mother****er got 60"

You could not have written a more fitting last game for Kobe.

That was fun. I didn't expect Kobe to add another game to the highlight reel. It was cool to see Staples filled with celebrities and the crowd going crazy like Showtime was back.

I got home from the Celtics game last night just in time to watch enough of the Warriors game to make sure they would get the record. Then I turned to the Lakers vs Jazz. Kobe was having a pretty good game, but Lakers were trailing. I was hoping for a good performance followed by a Lakers win, but it seemed to be out of the question. Understand I had just watched Boston overcome a 26-point deficit to pull out a 10-point win, so I figured anything was possible. Then Kobe put it all on his shoulders and went off for what ranks as one of the best individual performances of his career. What a great way to go out! I was an acknowledged Kobe hater until a couple of years ago, but he changed my mind when he refused to quit in a game against Boston, when the rest of a bad Lakers team was going through the motions. He showed what greatness is all about.

A lot of haters out there re: Flea's National Anthem, but I loved it. If you're gonna make everyone listen to that song before every American sporting event, at least make it interesting.

Flea's anthem was weird, but I liked it. Rock and roll will never die.
