Interesting read. I like the idea a team could optimize for WAR with a Lake Wobegon strategy where everyone is slightly above average, but I wonder if that's what Billy Beane is doing here. He might just be getting the best he can get in a salary dump.

Love this on both fronts (Lindbergh and FG). The abundance of quality analysis out there is mind-boggling.
