OK, it's play off final day, and Derby are looking to get back into the Prem against QPR at Wembley. This has been called the most valuable fixture in competitive sport, because so much is at stake.

Which doesn't explain why I can't actually watch it from here, since the coup in Thailand means they aren't broadcasting normal programming. Bugger.

Sometimes, all one can do is head to the shore, stare out at the rocks and the sea, raise one's arms in resignation and say Phuket.

Derby fans are definitely shouting "phuket" after that.

Sigh. Now let's see if we can hold onto Hughes, Wisdom and Buxton, as well as the manager, for next season.

Well done on the National Anthem, Slash.

He's 48?! He's looking good for a guy who was on death's door more than 10 years ago (heart condition).
