Rubin "The Hurricane" Carter died.

As always, the real story is much more complicated than the Hollywood movie.

I guess I need to go back and read some more about Carter, but that article seems like a steaming pile of bullshit served up to the god of Clickbait.

We're not saying Carter committed the crime, we'll just casually point out that by the age of 14, the Hurricane had already been arrested for assault and armed robbery.
Yeah, we have a legal system that expressly won't let you do that. Was he dressed in a manner that was asking to be arrested as well?
He was booted from the military after being court-martialed a whopping four times
The Army of 1954 being famous as a place of racial harmony, that must have been all about Carter's bad attitude.

All I remember is being 16 and reading this William Nack article in SI and immediately putting the man on my "All-Time Badasses" list. I have no idea how the Cracked writer manages to go from "movie that isn't 100% true to the facts" to "rightly convicted on the testimony of a single felon who later recanted".

If Petr Cech is hurt after that corner kick, I'd love to see The Special One cancel Courtois' loan deal on the pitch.

Be careful asking Giants punter Steve Weatherford to do anything.
