If the allegations against Urban Meyer have any shadow of truth, why is the NCAA not aggressively investigating? In covering up an assault and a drive-by shootout, Meyer would also be an accessory to a felony, which I believe could put him in jail. I have the feeling, without reading the article, that Rolling Stone just might be stretching the truth here. Would a magazine do that???

You're not going to find anyone to testify that they conspired to bury any of this, and the victims have been... I'll say influenced to have forgotten enough details so as not to shut down a major sports program.

To expand: look at the people and programs that have actually been sanctioned by the NCAA recently and you'll notice a pattern of disgruntlement: the agent who paid Reggie Bush('s family) and then got dropped by Bush when he turned pro, the tattoo parlor owner who got busted and suddenly no one at Ohio would talk to him... The lesson a smart coach/AD has learned is you don't have to know where the bodies are buried, but keep everyone who does know happy. Urban Meyer is a smart coach who has smart people around him.

It's a shame a guy can't spend a weekend relaxing with a little love boat without the morality police rolling up into his business. Just goes to show you, one man's backyard swimming party is another man's blood-soaked shoe.
