Toronto gets it done in Winnipeg, but losing Ricky Ray and Chad Kackert to injury taints the W. Montreal blows a huge lead as their Cowtown quest for redemption fizzles. B.C. keeps on keepin' on against Edmonton. Meanwhile in Regina ouch!

The favourites win out, so the spreads were key this week. cixelsyd and Reever both nail the B.C. win to lead the way with 6-point weeks.

"But isn't the long weekend NEXT week?" you asked. The CFL gleefully replied, "Not in MY book!"

WEEK 5

Edmonton @ Montreal (Thursday, July 25)
Montreal has looked just awful the past three weeks, but hey! So has Edmonton! Given that the Als defence has been solid and the Esks' offence less so, I'll take home cooking for $100.

Calgary @ Winnipeg (Friday, July 26)
Calgary has a tidy two-game win streak, a healthy point differential, and an eye on the west division lead. Winnipeg has... a players-only meeting. Yikes.

Saskatchewan @ Hamilton (Saturday, July 27)
League officials are scrambling for the record books to find out if any team in CFL history has ever engineered back-to-back shutouts against the same opponent.

B.C. @ Toronto (Tuesday, July 30)
B.C. has typically enjoyed its trips to Toronto, which is why the Argos are trying to throw them off by scheduling the game for the wrong day.

Good luck!

Saw the Edm-Mon game on ESPN2 (it planned to show 5 games on The Deuce; this may have been the last one). Except for the two goal-line stops in the final minute, this was a game of two horrible defenses.
