Don Sutton has the courage of his convictions. All the same, the kid turned out to be ok.

Dave Barnett never got back to the Texas Rangers booth after his stroke-like episode last summer. The team replaced him and never told him personally he wouldn't be back.

That was so weird, and I was only thinking about it the other day. I love how there was no medical explanation. Given my experience with something similar 20 years ago and doctors going "Fucked if we know!" I'm not remotely surprised.

Too bad they shitcanned him. Poor guy:(

The Houston Astros are going to be historically bad at the plate this year.
They probably have a better than 50% chance of setting the all-time team strikeout record (1529, by 2010 Arizona Diamondbacks).

In the first four games, the Astros' opposing starting pitcher has set a new personal high for strikeouts in a game (Harrison, Darvish, Ogando, Straily).

Going into tonight's game, they had played 3 games, had 97 plate appearances, and had struck out 43 times. That's over 44% of their plate appearances.
