So was the RMU/Kentucky game on ESPN in other parts of the country or just near Pittsburgh and Kentucky. Have to say, What an amazing night. I grew up in Moon, Calipari spoke at my graduation(held in the same areana the game was played last night), and I was sitting at a bar across the street from campus watching the game last night. Have to say, Moon was a party place last night. Way to go Bobby Mo!!! I know that is the worst KY team in decades, but still an awesome win.

North Carolina has State, Carolina, Duke, Davidson and A&T in the NCAA tournament. Not bad.

No more Tuck rule and no hitting with the crown of the helmet for either offensive or defensive players.

My opinion of the latter (the former was really a stupid rule, and I'm a Pats fan) is that some goal line runs are going to be pretty dicey from here on out - the leaps that some players do often lead to a crown-first collision with a defender, which may now be a penalty.

The NFL claims there were only a "handful" of plays the new rule would have applied to last season, but I don't see how that matters. It's so open to interpretation we could see a season like the first year after MLB put an emphasis on balks.

Freakin' love Bobby Orr. Still have my Bobby Orr Fan Club card, even though I was so young everything else was a blur.

Bears offer Urlacher $2M, Urlacher says G'bye.

Probably little chance of Urlacher migrating to the Pats, a welcoming home to LB's from parts elsewhere, including former Bears Cox and Colvin.

No more Tuck rule

I guess there's no truth to the rumor that Oakland wanted the rule change made retroactive to the 2001 season.

No. 4 turns 65

MY GOD I'm getting old! I remember well Orr's arrival on the hockey scene in Boston. The Bruins staged an exhibition game between Derek Sanderson's Niagara Falls Flyers and the Oshawa Generals of Bobby Orr. This was the sometime in the season before both came into the NHL. Orr was the main attraction, so of course Sanderson wanted to make an impression. He did. In the first shift in which the 2 were on the ice together, Sanderson went after Orr, both dropped the gloves and had at it. I cannot remember if either had an edge in the fight, nonetheless it set a tone for the future careers of the 2.

Can't see it: they've already got a surplus of linebackers who are too slow in coverage. Urlacher from his prime, absolutely, but not now.
