CFL Pick 'Em, Week 3: Our little rankings get a quick shake-up early in the season. Note the early Thursday start this week, so don't delay and make your picks inside.

Things got a little interesting in Week 2. Montreal gets back to basics and takes care of business at home. B.C. manages to hold off Hamilton in a game that was way closer than anyone thought it would be. Toronto explodes for nearly forty points and outruns Calgary, while Saskatchewan just plain embarrasses a coupla former Argo QBs.

Margin of Error8 to 142 to 42 to 411 to 21

Drastic results this week: YYM and andiemgarcia both nail the Toronto game to grab the top spots with a seven-point week. Not too shabby!

After two weeks of stuffing football games into the sausage machine, we're finally starting to grind out a narrative.

Calgary @ Montreal (Thursday, July 12)
Two teams looking to get back on top. Montreal rebounded from a tough first week, Calgary is one field goal away from being 2-0.

Winnipeg @ Edmonton (Friday, July 13)
Two teams looking to get off the mat. Edmonton's looking for offense, while Winnipeg's just looking for a win.

B.C. @ Saskatchewan (Saturday, July 14)
Two teams looking to keep their perfect record intact and lay sole claim to first place in the West.

Toronto @ Hamilton (Saturday, July 14)
Two teams looking to kill each other.

Good luck!

Folkways, you're digital 0fer football helmet stickers are in the mail. When it arrives just insert the envelope into your cd-rom drive. (This may or may not permanently damage your computer, use at your own risk). (Helmet sticker offer void in any one of the 51 continental United States and Canada or in the Democratic Theocracy of Northern New Old South Mexico.)

DJE, has the project confidence site been totally shutdown? I know it's been borked but I had a hockey pool that I'm pretty sure I would have won.

OK, here we go again. Having had my usual "how could these results happen?" moment last week, I shall try to avoid humiliation this week.

Stamps did a number on Alouettes in week 1, but then allowed Argonauts to run wild in the next week. Meanwhile, Alouettes seemed to get out of their funk last week. I'll take Montreal to continue improvement, but in a close one. Montreal by 3.

Winnipeg at Edmonton presents a clash between 2 teams trying to get it right. Bombers appear to be able to score some, but Eskimos appear to have a defense (sorry, that's defence - we're talking CFL here.) Look for Edmonton to win it by 5.

BC at Saskatchewan is another match up of apparent offense vs good defense, but Saskatchewan can score as well. These guys may put up enough points to short out the scoreboard, but Sasketchewan will win it by 11.

Toronto at Hamilton features another pair of teams that have some Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde DNA in them. Using the SWAG effect, I'll go with the Tiger Cats by 9.

Dr. John, I will be unable to post my picks for week 4 in a timely manner. I'll be on a mission trip with the youth group from my church. It's in a location without much in the way of internet access, and I'll probably too busy chasing a bunch of high school kids. With your kind permission, I'd like to post now for next week.

***These are picks for week 4***

Toronto by 12
Saskatchewan by 6
BC by 15
Montreal by 3

Thank you for your support.

And no problem re: the early picks, Howard_T. Heck, you could technically pick the whole season in one comment.
