Justin Blackmon Arrested on DUI Charge: Jacksonville Jaguars draft pick Justin Blackmon, the first wide receiver selected in the NFL Draft, was arrested on a DUI charge and tested at three times the legal limit for blood alcohol. Blackmon, 22, was pulled over for speeding early Sunday morning in Stillwater, Okla. While in college, Blackmon was arrested for misdemeanor DUI in 2010, suspended for one game and said afterwards, "I look forward to redeeming myself and proving to everybody that this isn't who I am. I'm not this guy. I'm humbled by this experience and I will grow from it."

Ugh. I am choosing to interpret this as a sign that Blackmon is the next Jimmy Smith.

I'm humbled by this experience and I will grow from it.

Well, he's grown from just barely failing the breathalyzer test to failing it like a champion.

That could be considered "growth".

Was that I will grow from it, or grow into it.

Wonder if the tweet apology is coming.

It seems he has already used up the basic stock apology and will have to come up with something more convincing this time. With a blood alcohol level like that he should get some jail time but I am not sure what is worse, 3 years in jail or playing wide receiver on the Jaguar offense for then next 3 years. In either case he can look forward to large dudes chasing him around and pounding on him. Way to kick off your pro career.
