The Watchdog: a profile of Roger Goodell.

That was interesting. At first, I thought that I was completely on Goodell's side. The position that many players have taken about how Goodell has gone too far in fining them is not one I agree with. Whatever needs to be done to protect players should be done whether they like it or not. OTOH, he is supportive of an expanded season, which is the polar opposite of being concerned about player safety. So, is he concerned about safety or is he trying to appease fans like me?

Sounds like he's trying to please too many people and walk too many fine lines.

Granted, some of that comes with his job as Keeper of NFL Integrity. Just seems that he has yet to define NFL Integrity under Roger Goodell.
