NCAA Ice Hockey Tournament selections (aka the "Shivering Sixteen") are up. Here's the bracket. The regionals are scheduled for Friday and Saturday in Bridgeport, CT; Green Bay, WI; St. Paul, MN; and Worcester, MA. The Frozen 4 will play in Tampa, FL on April 5 & 7. Other than the $$$ effect, I don't understand Tampa being the venue for the finals. I don't think that any one of the colleges in the tournament is within 1,000 miles of Tampa.

If the Frozen Four was taking place during spring break perhaps I'd understand Tampa as the venue. As it is, I don't get it.
