Sending all the positive energy I can muster to the former Arsenal player. Fight hard, Fabrice!

BBC has a page they claim will update with latest information on Fabrice's condition.

I'm just hanging out at Hacker Dojo, goofing around on some Rails stuff, and keeping BBC Sports live commentary open in a window and see this--wow, so sad and I only hope being young and strong, and good doctors can help Fabrice!

Reports are coming in via Twitter that Muamba is in stable condition. Still rumour, but apparently a cardiologist in the crowd pushed past the stewards and helped.

Hospital confirms stable condition, which is a relief: it'll be a long recovery, but everyone feared for the worst. Hats off to the ref and the emergency services for reacting so quickly. (The cardiologist is on Twitter, and has corrected the record: he tried to get through security, but wasn't able to reach him.)

Lastest on BBC News site is that Muamba is in intensive care and "critically ill."

I've heard about cases like this; one can't imagine until one sees it. Doctors say he's under anesthesia for at least 24 hours (standard practice) while he's being monitored.

Going through everything I've read, here's hoping he makes it through.

The Guardian is reporting that Muamba's heart stopped beating for two hours. They finally got it restarted on its own some time after he reached the hospital.

Yikes, that's about one hour 56 minutes too long from what I know. (Bare minimum medical knowledge.)

Horrible incident:(

I was reading the Guardian's live blog of the match when I started seeing these updates instead of the state-of-play updates. Many prayers.

"Fabrice Muamba's heart condition is "showing small signs of improvement" following his cardiac arrest.

A Bolton statement said: "His heart is now beating without the help of medication and he is also moving his arms and legs."

Thanks, Mr B. I was just stopping in to make the same update. Sure hope he's on the road to recovery.
