This buddy of mine writes this once a month, this month is very sports heavy. Sinacle. He weighs in on Jose Reyes and an interesting NFL observation . . .

How come when an NFL kick- returner fields the ball, let's say 6 yards deep in the end zone and returns it for a touchdown, it goes down as a 106 yard return.

But if the same NFL kick-returner fields the ball 6 yards deep in the end zone and returns it to the 20 it goes down as a 20 yard return?

Please explain.

Indiana and Penn State are tied 3-3 at the half. Using the associative principle, it appears that, if it were admitted to the conference, North Texas would be able to hold its own in the Big 10.

I like how you think.

I have watched both the Gophers and the Mean Green play this fall, UNT would be an improvement for the Big Ten.

What a day for college football so far in the smaller matchups. Air Force beats Navy in overtime after Navy came back from a 28-10 deficit in the 4th quarter. Illinois beats Northwestern in the last minute of play after multiple lead changes in the 4th quarter. Rutgers and Syracuse in overtime. Pretty exciting so far.

Please explain.

Sure, that's easy.

The reason they do that is...um.
Well, it starts with how they calculate...

Look over there! The MLB playoff are on right now! It's a quadruple-header!

It's the Russell Wilson show up in Madison tonight. Wolfpack nation is hiding its faces in its hands right now.

England are the luckiest team in world Rugby.

Discuss, especially if you're a Scot.

"Better lucky than good" fits well here because they certainly aren't good.

I don't think that this French team is capable of one of those French performances, but if they are they'll only need to be so for half an hour and they'll be out of sight, something Scotland couldn't manage.

It's an England team that's not easy to like either.
