Fox Runs Fake Anti-Jay Cutler Headlines: Fox has acknowledged running fabricated newspaper headlines slamming Jay Cutler during the broadcast of the Chicago Bears' week 1 game against the Atlanta Falcons. After a graphic displayed the headlines "Cutler Leaves With Injury," "Cutler Lacks Courage" and "Cutler’s No Leader," announcer Daryl Johnston said, "These are the actual headlines from the local papers in Chicago." After the Chicago Tribune investigated, a Fox Sports spokesman said they weren't real. "It was misleading," Dan Bell said.

"Mr. Cutler, I have Mr. Dershowitz on the line".

I'm not a Cutler fan. But I'd like to see him go after the Fox scumbags for that.

Moose can get a job with one of the Fox-favored truth-bashing political campaigns if he likes.

I picked up a counterfeit $100 bill on the street yesterday. When I tried to use it in a shop, the owner called the police.

"It wasn't a fake", I said, "it was just misleading".

yeah, Beav..I hear you...sort of like Dan Rather and the lies he made up to try to smear G.W...opps..not lies..."it was just misleading"

Dan Rather was being nice. G.W. did lie and why we are fighting two wars or more, can't count. But that is politics not sports.

Fox misleading people lying?

I'm shocked.

owl, if there are phony 100's floating around Phnom Penh (isn't that your hang?), what other goodies are you coming across on the street that we should know about?

Bootleg Jane Fonda Workout tapes?

Six packs of 3.2% Old Milwaukee and Pabst?

Jaws apologized for a minor slip of the tongue. I hope they plan on apologizing for this rather major blunder. I've seen the fake headline thing done before, but the announcers haven't ever said they were real before.

don't we all just assume that anything Fox reports is just as likely to be made up anyway? They must think Cutler is a liberal Democrat.

seriously, I am sure Johnston thought they were actual headlines.

But still smeone took the time to type those out and make them look like headlines - maybe they should have not done that or taken the time to let these people know they are not real headlines.

You don't want to know, but just as a teaser:

- bootleg DVDs for $1. Not necessarily Jane Fonda, but last month, Rise of the Planet of The Apes was being sold literally outside the front door of the cinema where it was being shown, and

- dunno about American beers, but draught Angkor is 75 c
