The 2011 Stanley Cup Playoff Pickem is here!: Get your picks in early, first round starts Wednesday.

Rules are same as always: pick the winner and number of games for each series. Correct teams get you 2 points, correct number of games gets you 1 point. Here are your matchups:

Washington vs. NY Rangers
Philadelphia vs. Buffalo
Boston Vs. Montreal
Pittsburgh vs. Tampa Bay
Vancouver vs. Chicago
San Jose vs. Los Angeles
Detroit vs. Phoenix
Anaheim vs. Nashville

The teams with home ice advantage are to the left. I'm not going to designate a drop-dead cutoff date, but if your picks are submitted very late into the round, they won't be counted. So let's gets those picks in, and good luck to all...

I have no faith in the Canadiens to get it done against Boston, as my picks will attest.

boredom-every year the Sharks cost me dearly; I'm not about to let this year be the one that I fail to bet it all on them and they win

But at least they got up off the mat.

Just to get my hopes up and kick me in the groin. They turned that first overall pick into an eighth. Loved watching that Tedenby kid though.

Caps in 7: Rangers have given them some fits this season.
Flyers in 5: Buffalo's big hope is in goal, but it won't be enough.
Bruins in 6: Nothing gives more satisfaction than seeing Canadiens eliminated in Montreal.
Pens in 5: Lightning run out of juice, and Penguins have been playing well of late.
Canucks in 5: Blackhawks are too inconsistent to get by Vancouver.
Sharks in 6: I don't like picking them, but I can't see the banged-up Kings winning.
Coyotes in 7: I somehow feel Phoenix will get the benefit of a lot of calls.
Predators in 7: This is just a guess. I have no real take on either team.

MeatSaber in 4 rounds. I'll hoist a cup to him for running this.

posted by NoMich at 03:17 PM on April 27

The Spofi Consensus picks have always existed and were always submitted.
I simply provided a method for them to coalesce and form for all to view.

posted by grum@work at 04:49 PM on April 27

I'd allow SpoFi Consensus' picks, but I think they already finish ahead of mine, so no dice... =D
