Miami Fires Coach Randy Shannon: Miami fired coach Randy Shannon Saturday after the Hurricanes finished a 7-5 regular season that began with championship expectations. Shannon was 28-22 in four seasons at Miami and received a four-year contract extension before this season.

Too bad the article didn't offer details about the program's graduation rate under Shannon. Here's what I could find.

This seems to be an example of a school looking to have it both ways. They want to have quality human beings representing the school as football players, but they also want the guarantee of winning seasons every year and that just doesn't happen.
