Wasn't there a movie quite a while ago (a comedy) about a woman who owned a team and wanted them to lose som she could make more $$? Of course we don't have to have seen it to know the ending. Life imitates art?

I believe that was Major League. Where the owner wanted the team to lose so she could get out of the contract and then move the team to Miami and make more money.

Couldn't disagree more. Major League 2 is one of the few sequels that maintains the quality/entertainment of the original, IMO.

Major League 2 is an abomination.

The only sports movie sequel that stands up to the original is The Mighty Ducks 2. That shit was tight.
