Mad Hatter Tries to Dress Up World Cup Trophy: After Spain's World Cup triumph, a fan ran across the field at Soccer City and tried to put a hat on the World Cup trophy, almost reaching it before receiving an open field tackle that should have drawn an immediate red card. The fan, who wore a "Salta Salta Jimmy Jump Against Racism" T-shirt, is a Spanish prankster known for pitch invasions. See the video.

I don't think the tackle deserved a red card as much as it would have deserved a thunderous round of applause. Keeping jackasses like this guy off of the fields should be a priority and watching someone like this get launched to the ground is a good thing. If anything I wish they had tased him while he was down too.

Stretching, but...

It probably shows what the Spanish football authorities also think of anti-racism campaigns.

/One of the reasons I was going for the Dutch.

He almost made it, but it looked like he flinched at the last second... Man...he was so close and chickened out after all his planning?!
