At lon last, Michelle Wie gets 1st LPGA tour win: Michelle Wie won her first LPGA Tour title, fulfilling the promise of a decade with a 3-under 69 Sunday for a two-stroke victory over Paula Creamer in the Lorena Ochoa Invitational

Actually, when I read the quote below, I though maybe she was just pledging for the same fraternity I tried to get into....

"Just seeing them come out and pour beer all over me, it was a great feeling," Wie said. "I've always seen it on TV and I've always wanted people to pour beer on me. It was as great as I thought it was."

Does this get her into the Masters, or should she win, oh say, about 20 more times on the women's tour before she tries the men's again?

She does look better than Tiger in red though.

Good for Wie. It's hard to believe that she's only 20. She got into the game so young that it seems like this is a comeback for a washed-up athlete. Weird.

I think it is a little bit funny. "At long last" and "finally" while Wie is just 20 years old in her first season on the LPGA. Congrats, Wie.

Exactly! Wie is still very young with a long career in front of her. May this be the 1st of many for this young lady.

Finally she wins one - a mere four years younger than Annika Sorenstam and Christie Kerr were when they won for the first time. In the longer term, all the beer-less performances will only make her a better golfer.

She's 20 years old. Rory McIlroy is the same age and being spoken of as the next big thing. He's won once too (although if he could putt, he would have won yesterday in Hong Kong - I've never seen so many good iron shots yield so few birdies); mind you, he's also in the box seat to win the European Order of Merit (or the Whacky Races to Dubai or whatever they're calling it now), has had two top tens in majors this year, and was 20th in the Masters.

But leaving that derail to one side; well done to Michelle Wie. At last.

Is it legal to dump beer on a 20 year old...I mean, what if she swallowed some of it???

That reminds me of this time when I was maxing out with these two sorority girls in college.....ummm, never mind.
