Vandals Tag NFL Player's Lawn: Vandals struck the front yard of Buffalo Bills cornerback and kick returner Leodis McKelvin, who fumbled a kickoff late in Monday night's loss to the New England Patriots. "Learn to take a knee" the vandals wrote, along with unspecified obscenities.

First heard of this via one of the Letterman writers. (Warning, may include mean joke)

Stay classy [Buffalo].

Better to fumble a kickoff for Buffalo than to score an own-goal on Columbia anyway.

Colombia.

For what it's worth, the kids turned themselves in, and McKelvin forgave them. And shockingly, TO seized the opportunity to say something stupid.

It was cool he didn't press charges. Good for him.

"Once we make it to the playoffs, tell them to do his lawn again," Owens said. "You just attribute that to ignorance"

How is that comment "something stupid"? The Bills played fairly well against the Patriots before the fumble and nearly pulled out an upset. If the Bills continue playing the way they did on Monday, they should have a decent season and have a chance at making the playoffs. What the kids did was in fact attributed to ignorance so I don't see how T.O.'s comment are "stupid" at all.

The second part of his statement is fine.
But there's no chance they're making the playoffs. Especially now that Posluszny is out (again) for up to 6 games. Therefore, it's stupid.

And actually, as for the 2nd part of the statement, "ignorant"? What are they ignorant of, that McKelvin should've gone down instead of pushing for that extra yard? Not condoning what they did, just think their action was simply dumb, not "ignorant". But now I suppose I'm picking nits.

What's stupid is you assuming that you know who's making the playoffs 1 game in to the season. So are the Steelers not making the playoffs this year because Troy Polamalu is out for 3-6 weeks? Are the Bears season over now that Urlacher may be gone for the entire season? What about the Eagles? Since McNabb is suffering from cracked ribs, are the Eagles playoff hope in jeopardy as well?

One thing we know about the NFL is that just about anything can happen and teams that were thought to be done, can make the playoffs. Take a look at last year and tell me if anyone knew for a fact that the Arizona Cardinals would not only make the playoffs, they would be playing in the Super Bowl. No one expected that to happen.

What are they ignorant of....Not condoning what they did, just think their action was simply dumb, not "ignorant"

Are you seriously looking for an answer to that? What's not ignorant about someone coming to your home and defacing your property? Dumb or ignorant, it's the same difference. No one should have to worry about coming home after work and seeing that someone came unto your residence and vandalized your property.

So we should tell every sports publication to stop doing NFL previews? Seems like a lot of people picked the Raiders to not make the playoffs before the season even started.
