Super Bowl at Giants Stadium?: NFL owners are meeting next month to discuss changing the rules for Super Bowl host cities so Giants Stadium could host the game in 2007. Would this be a return to traditional football, an homage to September 11, or just an excuse to spruce up the stadium?

Have a Super Bowl and they will come, regardless of weather. What true football fan wouldn't have wanted to attend the Ice Bowl or the recent Pats-Raiders playoff game/snowball fight?

The Superbowl should be outside. I think Fedex Field (Washington) should get it too.

Too cold? Too cold?!?! That's goofy golfing talk! Bring on the cold-weather Super Bowl and if anyone doesn't want their tickets, I'll take them.

Doesn't having the Super Bowl in warm weather/domes automatically give an advantage to certain kinds of teams? It would be fairer to hold the Super Bowl in a variety of conditions, and a freezing Giants Stadium is one of them.

Salmacis, as well as giving an advantage to teams favoring warm weather/dome envirnoment, it gives them an increased chance of playing before a favorable crowd.

Yeah, what does it take to get a Super Bowl in Chicago or Green Bay? Indoor football is for pansies.

I think the Super Bowl should always be played outside, on grass, but Giants Stadium would be too cold (the average temperature at Super Bowl time is 31 degrees) for most people who would go to the game in person. And using September 11 as an excuse to bring the game to New York in five years is pretty damn cynical.
